The Rohloff twist shifter is designed to mount on standard flat bars. With this adapter, the shifter can be mounted on the steerer tube of bikes with drop bar.

With this headset spacer adapter, the Rohloff twist shifter can be operated with ease and neater cable routing that don't get in the way of the drop bar cables.
